At around 1 p.m. on Easter Sunday, a vehicle driven by an 83 year old man lost control and went over the bank near mile post marker 1.5 on U.S. Highway 199.

Firefighters from the Crescent Fire Protection District and the Crescent City Volunteer Fire Department responded to a reported vehicle fire on Sandman Rd. shortly before 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 21st, 2008.

Crescent Fire Receives FEMA Grant

The Crescent Fire Protection District has been awarded a grant for the purchase of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's "Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program".
