Become A Volunteer Firefighter

The Crescent Fire Protection District is a Volunteer Fire Department staffed by individuals with a desire to serve their community. Our Volunteers carry portable radios and pagers that notify them of an emergency. Our members have jobs, families, school, and other concerns and are not always able to respond. Fortunately we have a wide range of members with varying schedules which allows us to maintain adequate staffing at emergency events at all hours of the day, 365 days a year.

Like any other Volunteer Fire Department, we are always looking for ways to better serve our community. One of the quickest ways we can accomplish that goal is to increase the number of trained firefighters we have available to respond. If you are interested in becoming a Volunteer Firefighter with the Crescent Fire Protection District, feel free to stop by our station on Washington Blvd. as we are always happy to answer any questions you may have. Not everyone has the time or interest needed to become a Volunteer Firefighter, so if you're unsure about what you will be getting into, come in and talk to us.
